Java Backend

The backend of Firescrum was entirely rewritten in Java language. We hope to get more portability and more support of the open-source community this way.
Portability: We aim to be able to run FireScrum in as many plataforms as possible. We believe that we can achieve this with a open and well-know technology like Java.
Open-Source Community: It's clear to us that Java is powerfull in open-source world with mature development tools, frameworks and others goods that make Java a better option than .NET. With this we expect to be more accessible to developers around the world.

Note on Scrum 4 You Blog!

We were mentioned in Boris Gloger's blog: Scrum 4 You. We are very glad that someone like Boris, that is a reference in Scrum, shared his thoughts about the FireScrum.

Thank you

FireScrum Team

Welcome!

This is the website of the FireScrum project. An open-source web-based tool for support SCRUM teams. The project is under the GPL license.

Why build this tool?

FireScrum intents to help teams that faces any or all of the following problems:

  • Team members that can't be every day with the rest of the team.
  • The client wants a closer look at the project status without have to be on the site.
  • Teams that don't want to build and maintain a scrum board.
  • And don't want to loose the visibility of the taskboard.

Why another web-based scrum tool?

We believe that we can improve the produtivity of team members providing a clean and easy-to-use user interface . Our experience with Scrum tell us that agility is everything, so, we are trying to build a tool that helps people to be more agile when they are managing tasks, extracting reports, buildind the backlog and so on.
